Lorelai and Rory are sitting in the living room talking.
Lorelai: so, do you think you made the right decision?
Rory: I guess, I mean how will you ever know?
Lorelai: I don’t know.
Rory smiles.
Rory: so when does Sookie come back?
Lorelai: I’m not sure, why?
Rory: well, we haven’t heard anything about her trip to Jackson’s moms house.
Lorelai: I know, I’m starting to think they chopped her up and ate her.
Rory giggles. There’s a knock at the door.
Lorelai: I’ll get it.
Lorelai gets up and goes over to the door. It’s Michel.
Michel: Lorelai.
Lorelai: Michel? What are you doing here?
Michel: well I got back from France and I thought I would come visit you.
Lorelai: oh well how sweet. Come in.
Michel: oh that’s okay. I’ve visited.
Lorelai: Michel, I promise Paul Anka won’t bite you again.
Michel: whatever you know that dog has it out for me.
Rory comes up from behind Lorelai and starts barking. Michel screams. Lorelai and Rory laugh. Babette comes out.
Babette: What’s going on?
Lorelai (laughing): nothing, Michel is experiencing some post travel stress.
Babette: oh okay, I thought I heard a little girl scream.
Michel: excuse me. My scream is plenty manly enough.
Babette: okay.
Babette walks back in her house.
Michel: that was not even funny Rory.
Lorelai: I thought it was pretty funny.
Michel: well I’m leaving.
Michel walks to his car.
Rory: don’t leave, we we’re just playing.
Lorelai: I’ll hide Paul Anka.
Michel: hmmf.
Michel gets in his car and drives off.
Lorelai: you want to go to Luke’s?
Rory: sure.
Lorelai: it’ll be the first time we’ve got to go just you and me in a long time.
Rory: no it won’t.
Lorelai: it won’t?
Rory: no, I mean yeah Logan had to go back to California, and Paris is with Doyle, but we still have Tristan.
Lorelai: oh, well maybe if we get out before he wakes up, he won’t notice we’re gone.
Rory: oh yeah when he wakes up and realizes that no ones home, he wouldn’t notice.
Lorelai: exactly.

Luke: hey Rory.
Rory: hey Luke.
Luke: you haven’t been in here to get something to eat in a while.
Rory: I know, I’m sorry I’ve been busy.
Luke: it’s completely understandable.
Lorelai: hey hun.
Luke: hey.
Lorelai and Luke kiss.
Kirk: you know I think that is a health code violation.
Luke: can it Kirk.
Kirk: okay.
Lorelai and Rory sit down at the counter.
Lorelai: so where’s Lulu Kirk?
Kirk: she had to go to the doctor.
Rory: is something wrong?
Kirk: I don’t think so, just a check up.
Lorelai: good.
Miss Patty comes over.
Miss Patty: Rory! It’s good to see you.
Rory: it’s good to see you too Miss Patty.
Miss Patty and Rory hug.
Miss Patty: well I was just on my way back to the dance studio so I’ll see you later.
Rory: Okay.
Miss Patty leaves.
Lorelai: you seem mighty popular around here Rory.
Rory: it does seem that way.
Jess comes down.
Jess: Luke, you need to fix the plumbing.
Luke: what’s wrong with it?
Jess: there’s no hot water.
Luke: I’ll take a look.
Luke goes upstairs. Rory gets up to get something from behind the counter, and bumps into Jess.
Jess: oh hey Rory, I didn’t see you there.
Rory: sorry.
Rory sits back down. Jess goes upstairs.
Lorelai: oh that wasn’t awkward at all.
Rory: shusshh.

A FEW DAYS LATER

Rory is sitting at Luke’s reading a book. Jess goes over to her.
Jess: hey Rory.
Rory: hey Jess.
Jess: is Logan back yet?
Rory: no, he says it might be a few more days until he can get back.
Jess: I’m sorry.
Rory: it’s no big deal.
Rory puts her book in her purse.
Jess: what are you reading?
Rory: umm……..okay, it’s little out of my reading range, but it’s really good.
Jess: what is it?
Rory: you can’t laugh.
Jess: I won’t tell me.
Rory: okay I heard it was suppose to be the best book of the year.
Jess: I may just have to read it.
Rory: okay, it’s Twilight.
Jess: Twilight?
Rory: yeah.
Jess stares at her.
Rory: you said you wouldn’t laugh.
Jess gets up and goes upstairs.
Rory: well at least he’s not laughing in front of me.
Jess comes back down stairs with a book in his hand, and hands it to Rory.
Rory (reading the book cover): Twilight, your reading Twilight?
Jess: yes, I didn’t laugh at you, so you can’t laugh at me.
Rory: what do you think of it.
Jess: I think it’s pretty good actually, I mean it’s kind of poetic. A girl falling in love with a vampire, and a vampire falling in love with girl.
Rory: that’s what I thought.
Jess: I really like it. I may have to add it to my top 5.
Rory: really?
Jess: really.
Rory: it’s okay me too.
Rory and Jess smile.

Lorelai is on the phone at the inn.
Lorelai: I’m sorry mom……….Yes I know……….It was Christmas………Rory had friends over. Mom……..
Lorelai hangs up.
Sookie: having trouble with your mom?
Lorelai: you have no…… SOOKIE!!!!
Lorelai runs over and hugs Sookie.
Lorelai: what are you doing here?
Sookie: what do you mean? I had to come home sometime.
Lorelai and Sookie laugh.
Lorelai: your not pregnant.
Sookie: nope.
Lorelai: you had the baby?
Sookie: yeah. JACKSON!!
Jackson comes in with a baby in his hands. He hands the baby to Lorelai.
Lorelai: oh she’s so cute.
Sookie: yeah.
Lorelai: did you know it was going to be a girl?
Sookie: no, we decided we would just wait and see what we got.
Lorelai: what’s her name?
Sookie: Victoria Leigh…….
Lorelai: hey, that’s my middle name.
Jackson: I told you she would get it.
Lorelai: and that’s Rory’s middle name too.
Jackson: and I told you she would get that one too.
Lorelai: you shouldn’t have.
Sookie: oh it was nothing.
Jackson: but we’re not going to call her Victoria.
Lorelai: what?
Sookie: yeah it uses a lot of breath to say Victoria.
Lorelai: so what are you going to call her?
Sookie: Tori.
Lorelai: I like it.
Sookie: you do?
Lorelai: yeah, it’s going to fit her perfectly.

Luke: now why is Sookie coming over?
Lorelai: cause she’s been gone, and we haven’t had dinner together in a long time.
Luke: okay.
Tristan: and who exactly is Sookie?
Luke: she’s Lorelai best friend.
Tristan: oh, okay.
There’s a knock at the door.
Rory: I got it.
Rory answers the door. It’s Jess.
Jess: hey Rory.
Rory: hey Jess.
Jess: so who’s all going to be over for dinner tonight?
Rory: umm……well, my mom, Luke, Tristan, Me, You, Sookie, Jackson, Davey, Martha, and the new baby Tori.
Jess: they named her Tori?
Rory: yeah.
Jess: isn’t that a little out of their name range.
Rory: what do you mean?
Jess: I mean Davey, Martha, Tori. It doesn’t fit.
Rory: well her real name is Victoria.
Jess: okay that fits.
Rory giggles. Jess comes in. Rory shuts the door.
Rory: so you get New Moon yet?
Jess: no, Andrew’s sold out and isn’t getting any until next week.
Rory: I know. I bought the last copy.
Jess: oh your good.
Rory: I know.
Jess: you don’t even need it though.
Rory: I only have 7 more chapters.
Jess: yeah but I only have 4.
Rory: I still bet I beat you.
Jess: doubt it.
Rory: want to bet on that.
Jess: sure.
Rory: how much.
Jess: I bet your copy of New Moon that I will finish before you.
Rory: okay, I bet that if I beat you, you have to buy me Eclipse.
Jess: deal.
Rory and Jess shake hands.
Lorelai: Rory, who was at the door.
Rory: Jess.
Lorelai: okay.
There’s another knock at the door.
Jess: I’ll get it.
Jess answers the door.
Jess: hey Sookie.
Sookie: Jess? Hey, how are you?
Jess: I’m good.
Jess and Sookie hug.
Sookie: RORY!!!
Rory: hey Sookie!
Rory and Sookie hug.
Rory: how you doing Jackson.
Jackson: well I added a new car seat the minnie-van how do you think I’m doing.
Rory laughs.
Rory: it’s good to have you back.
Davey walks in holding Martha’s hand.
Davey: AUNTIE RORY!!!
Davey runs to Rory. Rory picks him up in a hug.
Rory: did you have good time?
Davey: I had a really good time, I got lots of stuff.
Rory: you did?
Davey: yeah I got a shark tooth.
Rory: oh my gosh, that is so cool.
Davey: you want to see it?
Rory: yeah, do you have it?
Davey: it’s in my pocket.
Rory sets Davey down. Rory looks at Jess who is smiling.
Rory: what are you smiling at?
Jess: nothing.
Rory: oh there’s something.
Jess: your going to be a great mother.
Rory: oh, thanks Jess.
Rory smiles. Davey pulls out the shark tooth.
Davey: here it is Aunt Rory.
Rory bends down to look at it.
Rory: oh my gosh, that this is scary.
Davey: no way, it’s cool.
Rory laughs.
Rory: why don’t you go show that to Aunt Lorelai.
Davey: okay.
Davey runs off to the kitchen.
Rory: hey Martha.
Martha (shyly): hi Aunt Rory.
Rory: did you have a good time?
Martha: yeah I got to see the fishies.
Rory: you did?
Martha: yeah and mommy said that I could get a fishie.
Rory: oh that will be really cool.
Martha: yeah but I don’t want to get a shark.
Rory: oh, I wouldn’t want to get a shark either.
Martha: it looked like it would eat me!
Jess laughs.
Rory: yeah.
Martha: you want to see what I got?
Rory: sure.
Martha grabs her small plastic purse and pulls out a fake purple gemstone, and puts it in Rory’s hand.
Rory: oh wow, this is very pretty.
Martha: yes it is, it belonged to a princess, she said I could have it.
Rory: well aren’t’ you lucky?
Martha: I’m very lucky.
Rory hands back the gemstone.
Rory: how do you like baby Tori?
Martha: well, I like her but she cries a lot.
Rory and Jess laugh.
Rory: alright, well we better go have dinner.
Martha: did your mommy make Mac’ n’ Cheese?
Rory: I think she did.
The three of them go into the kitchen.
Rory: hey mom, did you make Mac’ n’ Cheese?
Lorelai: I certainly did, but it’s all for me.
Martha: no, you can’t be a hog. You have to share Aunt Lorelai.
Everyone laughs.
Lorelai: I think I can share.
Martha: only with me though.
Lorelai: okay, only with you.
There’s a knock at the door.
Lorelai: would you get that Rory?
Rory: sure.
Rory heads for the door. Jess watches.
Rory: hello?
Lily: Hi, I’m Lily, I’m looking Logan.
